I have some big news. The 7 Line is now an officially licensed MLB brand.

The 7 Line company will still be 100% owned and operated by yours truly. MLB is giving The 7 Line a chance that is very unprecedented, and I am extremely grateful to have this opportunity. If it wasn’t for each and every one of you this would never have been possible. Your loyal support has been my motivation these past few years.

While printing t-shirts in my parents basement back in 2010 I never imagined the brand would have enough steam to get to this level. It’s taken years of hard work and dedication, and I pinch myself daily that this is in fact a “job”.

Since the start we’ve exclusively sold through our website. Well, that is about to change in a very big way. We’re constantly asked why our products aren’t available in stores. I felt that the only way to fully control the brands identity was to be the only retailer and starting this season we’ll have a kiosk inside Citi Field. Now you’ll be able to see, feel and try on our garments before buying. What better place than in our own home? We’ll be located directly behind our group section (Big Apple Reserve) in center field across from Big Apple Brews and the Shake Shack.

This is all as much of a surprise for me as it might be for you. I promise to give 100% towards this brand and stay dedicated to the Mets fan base. We’re all in this together and this is your brand just as much as it is mine.

Thank you,
Darren Meenan

That's awesome, Darren! Proof positive that hard work pays off in the end. Does this mean that you'll be able to use MLB or Mets-copyrighted stuff in your future designs?

Definitely no more "SELL THE TEAM" shirts. Anyhow, hard work does pay off, as your marketing is better than the Mets.

Congrats Darren! Proud that you made your passion a successful business-you are truly an inspiration to my 17 year old die-hard MET fan sons! All the best and if you need a couple of bodies to work the kiosk, the McQuillan boys will jump on it in a NY minute!

Excellent news, Darren! Congratulations on the well-deserved success. It will be very cool to see the 7 Line merchandise on sale at Citi Field. I'm curious what this means in regards to the types of products you can manufacture and sell now. Will you have greater ability to sell more player-related and team merchandise? If so, what type of restrictions and/or approvals are involved? Hopefully you can share at some point. Congrats again!

Congratulations Darren! I am proud to be a Mets fan and a 7 Line Army member. We have been with you at Citifield, Wrigley Field and will be in San Francisco this year - just got our plane tkts tonight and we are excited! It's awesome that you are proving the American Dream is alive and doing it with America's Pastime is like the cherry on top. I can't wait to see what the future holds for The 7 Line! Let's Go Mets! Whatever the size of your booth at Citifield I can already tell you it is going to have to be tripled in size from day one!

That is SO cool!! Congrats, Darren. Oh, by the way, as a friendly word of advice, get a prenup before you tie the knot. Just saying. :)

lovemymets on March 28, 2014

I am so very happy for you, dude! Awesome news. I had the pleasure of meeting you before one of the games last season -- you're a sweetheart! And I meant what I said in an earlier post: get a prenup. PLEASE.
